1. Who is Ripsey? How can Ripsey help me?

Ripsey is your buddy. She can help you become and stay healthy. You can be someone who is looking to become healthy and prevent a future health condition or you can be someone who is trying to manage a clinical condition, Ripsey will help you be your best healthy self!

And what's more, the home screen is customised for you as well. On the home screen, you can access your "health plan for the day", and trackers for clinical concerns, menstruation and, fasting. As and when we build new features, you will be able to access them here.

2. I signed up and it says that I got 50 Health Nuts. What does this mean?

Health Nuts are Ripsey's rewards. Consider them a currency that you can earn and redeem against in-app purchases. You can earn health nuts when you sign up, when you complete your day, when you make a purchase, when you refer a friend or when you engage with Ripsey in the Ripsey Labs section. Isn't it great when you being healthy is rewarding? That's a 2x win!

3. I want to become healthy. How can I use this app?

You would enter your personal information, preferences, and other health-related factors. Ripsey will work her magic and create a personalized health plan for you. You get to see what the plan is, and track your health through the app. After all, we are all about a convenient and personalized solution! Do tell us if you have any specific requests, we would love to hear from you.

4. I have existing clinical issues. How can you help?

You would enter your personal information, preferences, and other health-related factors. Ripsey will work her magic and create a personalized health plan for you. You get to see what the plan is, and track your health through the app. We have built-in trackers for you to take care of your existing clinical conditions. We currently offer these for Type-2 diabetes, cholesterol concerns, blood pressure issues, PCOD and Thyroid issues. There are also medications and appointments that you can add and Ripsey helps you with the timely reminders. 5. What does my personalised health plan look like?

Your personalised health plan is primarily a nutrition and activity plan. Based on all the information that you have given during the sign up (e.g., your basic health information, your lifestyle, allergies and clinical concerns, choices and preferences, diagnostic tests), Ripsey plans a nutrition and activity plan for you to be healthy and stay healthy. The nutrition plan offers you suggestions on breakfast, lunch, and dinner while the activity plan is a 30-minute activity that you can do at home, anytime of the day. Each of the plans are curated for you, to help you be your best healthy self!

6. How does the nutrition suggestion work? Are you putting me on a crash diet?

Crash diets are a concept that we don't believe in. Rest assured your food suggestions are based on your lifestyle, food preferences, clinical concerns, allergies, and any other inputs such as DNA, that you have given us. The nutrition regime is aimed to provide you with suggestions that you can make at home with ease, and make you feel well-fed. Each of the dishes is designed to provide you with the right kind of nutrition, both macro nutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, and fats) and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals).

7. I don't like a dosa in my breakfast. How can I switch it?

Next to every selection, we offer a chance to change the meal. Every suggestion comes with almost 10 options for you to select from. Pick any one of them in the place of dosa, and the Ripsey takes care of the tracking accordingly. 8. I am looking to lose weight. Can you promise me that I will lose at least 5 kg a month?

Hey, you don't play fair! Weight is not an issue but is a symptom of an underlying one. Ripsey promotes a healthy lifestyle, part of which is to help you manage your weight. The nutrition, activity and wellness regimes will help you manage your weight in a healthy way and will never ever put you on any crash diets. You don't lose weight and become healthy, but you become healthy and then lose weight. The funda is that once you start a health regime, your weight will be certainly under control. Cause and effect, my friend!

9. What is the DNA testing all about? I am curious.

Oh, ye curious soul, we love your curiosity! DNA testing or nutrigenetic testing, as it is scientifically called, analyses the response of our DNA markers to the various nutrients. Combined with nutrigenomics, it also helps you understand how different foods may interact with specific genes to increase the risk of common chronic diseases such as type-2 diabetes, obesity, stroke, and certain cancers.

Our DNA test panel is extensive and covers a multitude of health factors - nutrition, fitness, immunity, cardio-metabolic risk, skin health and certain cancers. Although the DNA test can provide important information for diagnosing, it doesn't really reflect the current state of your body. Results in some cases can be inconclusive and in some, testing might cause stress and anxiety.

Please be assured that the DNA test is another layer of information that we use to personalize the health solution for you and is in no way a mandatory requirement.

10. How does the DNA test work?

Our testing process is fairly simple. We offer a pre-consult for us to understand your lifestyle, current food and fitness regimes and family history. A sample kit is shipped to you, and once you collect the saliva sample, you can ship it back to our labs. And don't worry, the shipping is paid for by us. Once we have the sample in the lab, we run a multitude of test, and with the test results in hand, we prepare an action plan for you. Your assigned nutritionist reaches out to you for a comprehensive consult to walk you through your results and action plans and will help you make changes to your lifestyle, food, and fitness regime. We also will be following up with you for a period of 12 weeks to ensure you aren't facing any issues and are able to transition to a path of 'healthy living.'

For the testing and recommendation process, we are partnered with NMC Genetics, a state-of-the-art genomics laboratory led by a unique team of highly skilled molecular biologists, bioinformaticians and data scientists. NMC Genetics' state of the art molecular laboratory follows international quality guidelines and standards for handling samples and DNA test processes. 11. I am interested to know more about the 'Exercise' section. What can I expect there?

Well, you would have to wait for a couple weeks for us to make the Exercise module 'live'. You can access instruction videos to help with your workout regime. These videos would be based on our suggestions and would be tailored to you. All the videos would be for a 30-minute session and never more, and you can do them at your home, anytime.

12. How can I order a blood test kit?

Click on the "Buy" button on the task bar that shows up on your home screen and purchase the package that is most suitable for you. You will be notified when the results are available, and you can access them on the app.

To bring the "at home testing" to you, we have partnered with India's largest providers of health test at-home service, and DMLT & WHO certified phlebotomists. The blood sample is collected by and processed by our partner labs.

1. I came across intermittent fasting. How do I go about including fasting to my regime?

Intermittent fasting is not a diet but is a method of eating. It falls in the concept of "not only what you eat is important, but also when you eat is!". The fasting method helps body undergo various processes and help with efficient breakdown of stored fats. The method is scientifically proven and has tons of research attached to it.

You can start as a beginner with the basic fast cycle. The fasting tracker reminds you and keeps you posted as to when to start and end the fast and what is happening with your body while you fast! And your health plan is altered to accommodate your fasting cycle, so you know what you should eat when you stop the fast.

2. How do I know if intermittent fasting is for me?

Truthfully, every body responds to fasting a little differently.

We should advice that intermittent fasting isn't for everyone. In case of an existing clinical condition, please consult with your physician if it is advisable for you to be on one.

3. What is the tracker and how do I use it?

The fasting tracker helps you visualize the process that your body undergoes while fasting. Click "start the fast" when you are ready to start the fast after you have finished eating a meal. Because you have selected a fasting cycle already, we will notify you when your fast is coming to an end. Also, the tracker provides you with information on what is happening in your body while you are fasting. The history graphs show you the fasting history and the number of times that you have achieved the goal that you have set for yourself. 1. I am looking to track my menstrual cycle. How can Ripsey help?

Menstrual cycle is part of your health, and you might want to track it because of clinical conditions such as thyroid issues PCOS, or because you are looking to conceive or just to keep track your general health. You can use the menstrual cycle tracker to track your periods and understand the changes that your body is going through. Along with tracking, Ripsey modifies your health plan when you log in your cycle and periods, to help you with menstrual discomforts like cramps and aches. 2. I am looking to conceive. How can I use the tracker and the app in general?

The menstruation tracker helps you keep track of your periods as well your ovulation phases. The health plan is modified in order to help you conceive by making sure that you are eating the right nutrients that your body needs in the stage.

1. Why would I want a food delivery subscription?

Well, it is pretty convenient way of eating healthy food without the hassle of planning, cooking, and cleaning at your end. And we have a wide variety of recipes from across the world to make healthy eating a great experience for you. And there are no hidden fees or charges!

2. Interesting, can I try for a few days before I subscribe?

Definitely. We offer a 1 Week trial where you can choose between Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner to try us out!

3. How does it work? Do I have to take all meals from you?

We offer a wide choice of preference (Vegan, Vegetarian, Egg Veg, Non-Vegetarian, Seafood) and you can even choose the days you wish to change your preference to being a vegetarian.

You can select the meals that you want from us and app can help guide you with the ones that you haven't chosen to take from us. Please do note that we aren't available in all the geographies at the moment. You can give us your information if you are looking to subscribe and we will definitely reach out to you when we do commence operations in the area.

4. I love the food. Can I add breakfast to my existing Lunch and Dinner plan?

Thank you, we love that you love our food! Yes, you can add a meal to your existing plan by accessing the preference in the profile section.

5. I travel frequently, how does the subscription work for me?

By using the Skip or Pause function on your app, you can skip the meals for a particular slot or a day or pause it for however long you are away. You will be selecting an end date for the 'pause while I am away', so we will commence the delivery from the next day, whenever you are back. Oh, and your nutritionist can help you with your food choices while traveling!

6. Can I cancel my subscription? How does the refund work?

Yes, you can use the cancel my subscription button in your profile to do so. Our team can help you understand the refund information by calculating the number of days left on your subscription. Do note that the cancelling a subscription will void any discount coupons that were applied during the purchase. We will be sad to see you go!

7. Can I have multiple delivery locations?

Yes, we offer up to 2 deliveries a day. So, you can choose two different addresses, within our serviceable area!

8. Can I request changes/modifications for the meals?

Of course, you can reach out to us for the changes at [email protected], but please do so by 12pm the previous day.

9. What is the delivery schedule?

It depends on your location, but you can expect the morning delivery between 8:00 - 9:30 AM and the evening delivery between 6:00 - 8:00PM

1. How do I know the nutritional information of my food?

Every meal has the nutrient information displayed on the 'recipe card' and you can access it by clicking on the dish. The recipe card contains information on macronutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, and fats as well as all the micronutrients including vitamins and minerals. Please let us know if you require any additional information.

2. How should I be tracking my diet?

The trackers in the app help track of your meals and the diet regime. You can track the information about macro nutrients as well as micronutrients along with calories intake.

3. I am allergic and have an existing clinical issue. Can I still subscribe?

Of course! We make a note of your allergies and any clinical concerns before the diet is designed for you. You can share your existing medical information with us for us to understand the severity and complexity of your clinical issues.

4. I have a specific diet that I need. Can I subscribe to Ripsey and customize the meals?

5. I love hanging out with my friends and have an occasional drink. Does this affect my diet regime?

It depends on your regime. Alcohol is certainly detrimental, especially in case of existing clinical conditions. Be mindful of the consumption.
